While housed within Mortgage and Lending, the role will work closely with the Grants team on a daily basis, serving as a key liaison for grant-related activities tied to mortgage processes
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Grants team, external contractors, organizations, and government officials as needed to ensure compliance with grants.
- Create and provide reporting and tracking of grant data funding and submissions.
- Provide income and documentation training requirements to all appropriate teams.
- Research all grant requirements and be the main point of contact for Federal Home Loan Bank submissions.
- Research, create, and provide material that outlines the requirements for the teams that is easily accessible and easy to understand.
- Provide historical data and input to the Grant’s team for upcoming grants requests.
- Update systems and spreadsheets with any required grant information and tracking.
- Provide process improvement recommendations to perspective managers.
- Prepare all post close submission documentation for grants.
- Review and provide feedback on initial Income Calculation Worksheets as necessary or requested.
- Escalate cases to the appropriate parties when necessary.
- Assist in preparation for annual grant audits.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to evolving responsibilities and organizational changes as the role develops.

Qualifications, Experience, and Abilities:
- Experience or education in mortgage and/or Grant administration.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to coordinate external audits of grants.
- Income Calculating experience.
- Basic math and reasoning skills with attention to detail.
- Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
- Ability to work independently or cooperatively in a team environment.
- Able to see the big picture while maintaining focus on the day-to-day details that result in a successfully developed Habitat neighborhood.
- Ability to effectively communicate the mission and vision of Habitat for Humanity through all modes of delivery (written, verbal, listening).
- Demonstrated knowledge of internal control procedures and practices in non-profit.
- Demonstrated experience with residential construction and affordable housing programs.
