Grant Specialist
Part- Time (25 hours per week)
Job Description:
The Grant Specialist reports to the Director of Strategy and Planning. The Grant Specialist is responsible for the prospecting of grant funders, research, and submission of proposals.
Job Duties:
Responsible for the identification, research, and writing of grants with a focus on government grants.
Strategize grant requests with the grant and program team.
Communicate grant compliance and report requirements to Grant Compliance.
Work as part of HFHO’s development team to achieve revenue goals to support the organization’s current and future initiatives.
Communicate funding designations and restrictions as required by the grant contract.
Complete quarterly production reporting to Habitat International.
Assist with grant reporting as needed.
Assist with grant audit support as needed.
Maintain awareness of other affordable housing efforts in the community and how they align with HFHO.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a Major in English, Writing, Public Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience in grants and contract administration.
3 plus years of grant writing or project management experience.
Demonstrated writing and editing skills.
Highly organized and detail orientated.
Ability to work under and manage multiple deadlines concurrently.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local government grants is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.
Understanding other digital tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Physical requirements:
Work involved sedentary to light work in an office setting.
Frequent need for standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arm.
