Leads and manages an effective team; includes planning and holding meetings, preparing and conducting performance appraisals, overseeing staffing levels (vacations, overtime, leaves of absence), supporting career growth (motivates, coaches, and trains for quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation), approving time and attendance, and assigning work priorities
Delivers effective feedback to employees, both positive and constructive; maintains proper documentation for all disciplinary actions
Provides training and mentoring to newly appointed Supervisors
Oversees training and orientation of employees to ensure EHS rules are understood, work performance is improved, and company policies and procedures are communicated
Upholds compliance with the collective bargaining agreement; serves as liaison between management and union officials and addresses grievances
Ensures adherence to all company policies, procedures, and practices
Plans and coordinates production schedules and work teams
Analyzes production and operating reports; addresses operations, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to control costs and avoid operational delays
Champions EHS standards and fosters a culture of continuous improvement
Implements ABS principles and initiatives; serves as the 6S program leader
Key Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience supervising maintenance or skilled trades teams
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Familiarity with TPM, Synchronous Manufacturing, and Kaizen Concepts
Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels; strong team-building, interpersonal, and multitasking skills; technically oriented
