Corporate Controller

Position: Corporate Controller
Location: Fully Remote

Overview
A growing, multi-entity organization in the building materials and construction services space is seeking a Corporate Controller to serve as a key financial leader. This role partners closely with the CFO and operational leadership to drive accurate financial reporting, strengthen accounting processes, and support business performance across multiple entities and states.

This is a high-impact leadership role within a complex environment, including union-based operations, offering strong visibility and the opportunity to influence both financial strategy and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and consolidation across multiple entities, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely delivery to leadership
• Oversee core accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Partner with operations on job costing and WIP to drive project performance and profitability
• Ensure compliance across multi-state operations, including tax and regulatory requirements
• Lead and develop the accounting team while driving process improvements and system optimization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience at the Controller level
• Strong experience with multi-entity financial consolidations
• Experience supporting multi-state operations and compliance
• Experience in private equity-backed environments, with an understanding of reporting requirements and stakeholder expectations
• Background in union environments with understanding of labor cost impacts on financials
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience in construction, job costing, and WIP accounting
