Gastroenterology Physician

Coverage Needed:

• ASAP - ongoing
• Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday (8-9hrs) clinic, with overnight weekday call coverage
• Minimum Availability: 2 weeks per month (10 days) but will also take full time

Clinical Details:

• There will be EDGs and in-house consults for stable GI issues as well, but mostly colonoscopies
• Primarily performing procedures in the GI lab, including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, and scopes for bleeds
• Clinic: 1 day per week seeing patients
• Volume: 2-13 procedures on lab days and around 20 patients on clinic
• Inpatient Rounding: Daily as needed
• Average of 4 admissions while on call
• EMR: EPIC
• Support Staff: Full-time APP in GI clinic
• 49 bed hospital
• Adults only, no peds

Requirements:

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• State License: Must have an Illinois license
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• DEA and CSR License: Required
• Must be able to perform scopes for bleeds, EGDs, routine colonoscopies, and treat bleeders in the esophagus
