- Duration: 3 Months
- Providing exceptional medical care to patients in our high-acuity Emergency Department (ED)
- You will work 12-hour shifts with the support of advanced practice providers (APPs)
- Annual Volume - Approx. 28,000 Patients
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, evaluating and managing acute medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Stabilize and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring resuscitation and advanced life support interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, consult with specialists, and arrange appropriate transfers, if necessary.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for the management of emergency cases, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based care.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide education, support, and a patient-centered care experience.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- ABEM/AOBEM Certification Required
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Active TX License
- BC - Emergency Residency Trained - Required
