Position Summary Under direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, the HVAC Technician performs the overall repairs of the Casino and related facilities heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, in accordance with management directives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Under direct supervision, installs new HVAC equipment, performs routine repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including any air distribution machinery, pneumatic and digital control, hot and chilled water distribution, and variable air volume systems.
- Complies with Pueblo, Resort & Casino, and Facilities Department standard operating procedures.
- Under an emergency evacuation and fire, evacuates the building or voluntarily assists the Security Department in emergency evacuation procedures.
- Utilizes a high lift for maintenance tasks when required.
- Reports equipment repair requirements to supervisor.
- Performs preventative maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on HVAC systems.
- Performs seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling.
- Coordinates major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes workplace safety.
- Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of heating, ventilation and air condition small repair inventory.
- Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electric controls, motor control panels and programmable logic controls.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Responsibility Assist Supervisor's in maintaining inventory control of equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
- Participates in Facilities Safety program and is responsible to complete all safety training and promote a safe work environment for team members and guests.
- Works in a composite crew and is required to assist Hard Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, Kitchen Repair technicians and/or other trades in accomplishing their duties on a routine basis.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.
Additional Responsibilities - Strong interpersonal skills with all direct work associates as well as networking with all Team Members is essential throughout Pueblo of Sandia whether they hold public facing and/or back-of-the-house positions.

Requirements: Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED certification.
- Four (4) years of HVAC or Refrigeration experience.
Any combination of trade school and/or experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required experience.
License/Certifications/Registrations - Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver's License.
- The following certification is required prior to employment start date:
- Universal Refrigerant Certification
- JR: Journeyman refrigeration
- JSM: Journeyman sheet metal preferred
- JP: Journeyman plumber preferred
- BO1/BO2: boiler operation (low or high pressure) JG: Journeyman gas fitters preferred.
