About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its national advocacy organization. Organizational leadership and management are also crucial, involving the recruitment, management, and mentorship of passionate staff, as well as ensuring sound financial and operational oversight. The ideal CEO will have significant senior management experience in a nonprofit connected to the medical world, with a focus on disease-related advocacy. They should have a proven track record in fundraising, strategic planning, and leading high-performing teams. The role requires a leader who is a compelling communicator, a bridge-builder, and is entrepreneurial, creative, and adaptable. A minimum of a B.A. degree, ideally with an advanced degree, is required. The candidate should be committed to the mission of the organization, which is to increase public awareness about the disease, advance research, and provide support services to the community.
