About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Water Area Business Leader (ABL) for the Washington D.C./Virginia area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the municipal water business in the region, with a primary focus on the municipal market. This role involves acting as the focal point for day-to-day communication between the area and sub-region, leading strategic water bids, and ensuring the success and growth of the business line. The VP, Water ABL will also be accountable for setting and implementing business strategies, objectives, and financial outcomes, as well as for the area's P&L, including revenue generation, project margin achievement, and client satisfaction. Applicants must have a BA/BS in civil, environmental, or a related degree, with a minimum of 12 years' water experience, including at least 2 years in executive leadership. Extensive knowledge of the Eastern U.S. and North America water market, particularly in the municipal sector, is essential. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in managing business financials for engineering and consulting contracts, as well as experience in business development with government agencies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment, and have the ability to engage with key clients and stakeholders. A Master's degree in engineering and 15 years' of experience in the water industry are preferred, along with the ability to collaborate across different market sectors and a proactive approach to a fast-paced, complex work environment.
