About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources for the Americas to lead the HR strategy and operations for a shared service center that supports approximately ten legal entities and 600 employees in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for legal compliance in all HR processes, leading the integration of any future acquisitions, and implementing HR systems. This role requires a seasoned leader with a hands-on approach, passionate about developing and empowering people, and fostering a positive, inclusive work culture. Key responsibilities include talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement programs, as well as daily leadership of the HR function and building strong relations at the corporate level. Candidates for the VP of HR Americas position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in HR management or a related field, with a preference for SHRM certification. Experience in leading HR in the US for international, and preferably European, companies is essential, as is a background in compliance and due diligence processes. The role demands a leader who is adept at driving strategy into the business, ensuring operational excellence, and is resilient in the face of challenges. Experience in HR system implementation, process development, and a background in a unionized company or with the integration of an acquired company is a plus. The ideal candidate will be an exemplary team player, with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion, and a proven track record in talent and employee management.
