The successful candidate will be responsible for driving all business development efforts, with a focus on custom API CDMO services for small molecule development in the pharmaceutical industry. This role is pivotal in expanding the company's multi-billion-dollar book of business and requires a leader with a strong background in the CDMO market space, particularly in the small molecule biotech sector. The Senior Director will be instrumental in fostering client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the growth and success of the organization. Applicants for the Senior Director of Business Development position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the CDMO market space, specifically with a background in small molecule development. A Bachelor's degree in organic chemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, or chemical engineering is required to ensure a solid foundation in the industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with small molecule biotech and be adept at custom synthesis, manufacturing, and the commercialization of drug substances and products. This is a remote role, and the candidate should be a self-starter, capable of working independently to meet business development goals.
