About the Role

The Company is seeking a Global Counsel to serve as its top legal advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including overseeing legal support for commercial and vendor transactions, managing and negotiating various contracts, providing legal guidance on mergers and acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with industry and country regulations. The role also involves serving as the privacy officer, handling data processing agreements, and advising on data privacy compliance. The Global Counsel will be a key figure in the company's executive committee, and will be expected to have the business and commercial acumen to recommend and implement efficient risk mitigation strategies. Applicants for the Global Counsel position at the company should possess a JD and have a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, with a strong background in commercial law, compliance, and international matters. The role requires a proactive problem-solver with the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of legal issues and influence stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in negotiation, experience in managing outside counsel, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multinational corporate environment. Professional qualifications include being a licensed member in good standing of at least one state bar, with fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese being a plus.
