About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Employment Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and counsel on a wide range of employment, wage, and hour matters. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, best practices, and company policies, as well as proactively identifying and addressing legal issues. The role involves close collaboration with the US Board, legal and HR departments, and requires the ability to confidently advise senior stakeholders on complex legal matters. The Senior Employment Counsel will also be involved in managing a team of wage and hour analysts and will be expected to travel to key sites across the US. Applicants for the Senior Employment Counsel position must have a Juris Doctor from a US law school, with a minimum of 7 years' of relevant in-house experience, including a leadership role. A strong knowledge of California employment and wage law is essential. The role demands a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to build and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker, capable of driving best practices and anticipating legal issues in a dynamic business environment.
