About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Philanthropic Engagement to lead the development of U.S.-based philanthropy programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and delivering strategies to increase revenue and partnerships with high-net-worth donors, prospects, foundations, and corporations. This role involves leading a team of professionals in major giving, corporate development, institutional giving, direct appeal, and planned giving. The SVP will also be expected to personally champion and secure significant gifts, as well as ensure collaboration with senior management to position the organization's philanthropic engagement strategies for maximum impact. Applicants must have a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 15 years' in philanthropic development, and at least 7 years' in a leadership capacity. The role requires a thorough understanding of prospect identification, moves management, and experience in closing 7-figure+ gifts. The ideal candidate will be an external affairs-oriented philanthropic leader with excellent project management, problem-solving, and relationship development skills. They should be proficient in Salesforce and MS Office Suite, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet deadlines. A strong commitment to the principles of culture and belonging, as well as high emotional intelligence and a sense of personal accountability, are essential.
