About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Veteran's Initiatives to lead and advance programs that support veteran and military-affiliated students, faculty, and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and advocacy of these initiatives, with a focus on the Master's in Business for Veterans program. This role involves overseeing the program's administration, budget development, and execution, as well as supervising staff and all related activities. The Executive Director will also be involved in co-curricular leadership programs, recruiting activities, and ensuring compliance with VA regulations. Additionally, the role includes serving as a primary liaison with external stakeholders and working with university and business school leadership to develop policies that foster the success of the veteran community. Applicants must have a Master's degree and at least 20 years of military experience, including senior executive leadership. The role requires proven project management skills, expertise in developing and delivering military leadership programs, and experience in budget management. The Executive Director will be expected to advocate for the needs of veteran and military-affiliated individuals, including academic advising, career services, and mental health resources. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate reporting of all veteran and military-related data and ensuring the well-being of the veteran community at the university. The position offers the opportunity to teach leadership courses in the business school and involves active participation in marketing, recruiting, and outreach activities to enhance the institution's reputation in the veteran space.
