Reports directly to the Chair and serves as the chief administrative officer for the Department of Family Medicine. Responsible for the effective and efficient management of all administrative operations, providing leadership in strategic planning, financial oversight, and organizational vision to support the Department�s long-range goals.
The Administrator has primary responsibility for managing and controlling a $35 million budget, encompassing group practice plan income, state appropriations, contracts and grants, and endowment funds. This role oversees personnel administration for a workforce of 170+ full- and part-time employees (including students, residents, and fellows). Coordinates activities of 240 volunteer faculty and manages space and facilities. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements, as well as driving operational excellence across all administrative functions.
