Manager, Licensing & Commissions

The Physicians Mutual Licensing & Commissions Division is adding to their team!

The Manager of Licensing & Commissions is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely distribution of commission payments to insurance agents, leading system implementation initiatives, and providing strategic leadership to division personnel. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.

What Youâ??ll Do in This Roleâ?¦

• Guides, mentors, and develops staff to consistently exceed performance expectations and deliver outstanding service.
• Manages the processing of all commission transactions across product lines and distribution channels, coordinating payment through the Payroll Administrator or Accounting Department.
• Coordinates implementation of changes for all systems impacting agent organization and pay.
• Works closely with relevant departments to plan and execute projects in accordance with corporate and departmental business plan strategies.
• Manages and coach staff to exceed performance standards for their customers.
• Oversees employee records management, leads recruitment efforts, conducts performance appraisals, and implements disciplinary measures as necessary.
• Contributes valuable insights and recommendations to the development and finalization of the operating budget.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelorâ??s degree in Business Administration or similar field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in commissions payroll management or insurance sales operations.
• 4+ yearsâ?? Supervisory experience is required.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance company principles, products and operations with emphasis on commissions and agent licensing is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Word with exposure to Tableau reporting, NIPR Producer Database, Vertafore PLM or other similar software experience is required.
• Technical understanding and familiarity with Agile methodologies is required.
