The Physicians Mutual creative team is on the lookout for a talented Copywriter/Senior Copywriter. 

As an award-winning, in-house creative team, we work on everything from national broadcast campaigns to proofing form letters.

Is conversion copywriting for the web your strong suit â?¦ great! How about direct response packages? Nice â??bring it! Long form, short form, email, social, display ads and DRTV scripts. No job is too big or too small.

The more broad your experience, the better.

Equally important â?? your ability to work well with designers, product marketers, compliance folks and a whole host of other people across all levels of the company. So yes, youâ??ll have to bring your writing chops, but weâ??re looking for someone unapologetically collaborative. Someone who asks great questions, challenges suppositions and, occasionally, breaks rules. Lastly, someone able to work through problems and come back with even better creative.

What Youâ??ll Do in This Role â?¦

  • Demonstrate passion for a consistent Physicians Mutual brand voice through all channels and markets.
  • Write various full-funnel marketing materials and day-to-day executions that drive engagement.
  • Develop creative concepts and copy options that can drive entire campaigns.
  • Partner creatively with graphic designers (among others) from concept to production.
  • Partner with product team and integrated marketing teams on the crafting of feature and benefit copy.
  • Quickly research, learn, and digest new and complex information quickly. (Insurance knowledge is a plus but not a must.)
  • Provide proofreading and copy-editing support.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum 3-5 yearsâ?? experience in marketing or advertising writing experience. For a senior position, 5-7 years.
  • Bachelorâ??s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts or related field is required OR minimum of 5 years copywriting experience.
  • Understanding of script writing, SEO and social media.
  • Experience mentoring writers (Senior Copywriter).
  • Portfolio demonstrates ability to write across various mediums, channels, and audiences.
