Position Highlights:
Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Pharmacist Specialist - Emergency Medicine Pharmacist in our Inpatient Pharmacy. This role will be great for someone that possesses a desire for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, customer service, and desires a fulfilling career in Pharmacy.
We seek a flexible Pharmacist with Emergency Medicine experience. The staff within the Pharmacy Department at Nebraska Medicine play an integral part of healing and serving our patients. The team partners with our physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to provide the best Serious Medicine and Extra Ordinary Care available in the region.
The primary work location for this position will be at the Nebraska Medicine main campus.
The ideal candidate will have completed an emergency medicine PGY2 or have trained in emergency medicine. You must already be a licensed pharmacist in the State of Nebraska. This role will be perfect for someone that that is flexible and passionate about emergency medicine.
Applicants with the following experience will be given priority consideration:
Required minimum of five years clinical experience in the clinical specialty area or completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
The role will have the following primary responsibilities, which may vary slightly depending on the shift covered. It is expected that one proactively maintains patient profiles, including monitoring and drug optimization recommendations. Additionally, there are opportunities for teaching and precepting.

Third Shift /Overnights
7-on / 7-off

Pharmacist Specialist - Emergency Medicine Pharmacist
Provide the highest quality patient care. Supervise pharmacy services in assigned patient care area and ensure all medication related patient and care provider needs are met. Work proactively as a member of a team(s) to ensure the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care. Demonstrate a dedication to continual and constant quality improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program, as deemed appropriate for patient facing roles and relevant to practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.
Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
