Assure high quality service to the perioperative anesthesia provider by providing support as an integral member of the team. Assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of 18 years of age required.
* High school education or equivalent required.
* Based on department needs, completion of a certified nursing assistant program may be required.
* Ability to demonstrate a professional and positive attitude with patients and other health team members required.
* Ability to maintain a clean, safe, economical patient environment required.
* Ability to demonstrate age specific competencies required.
* Utilize highly effective, appropriate, and timely communication skills required.
* Knowledge of computers required.
* Good communication skills required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Healthcare experience preferred.
* Healthcare related degree preferred.
* Knowledge of operating room equipment (e.g., ECG and physiologic monitors, bi-spectral index monitors) preferred.
* Experience with EPIC electronic medical record preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
