Children’s Nebraska, with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is currently recruiting a Division Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology.  We seek candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor rank. Investigators will have adequate packages and protected time for research. This leader will be responsible to develop and implement the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the institution. In addition to the administrative responsibilities of this position, the individual will share in the clinical responsibilities with the faculty. We are seeking individuals who are fellowship trained in Pediatric Rheumatology to provide clinical leadership for this growing division. They will have administrative, academic, and clinical practice management experience within a complex, pediatric tertiary care medical center. This individual will represent Children’s Nebraska leadership at the University for matters involving Pediatric Rheumatology at all campus sites.  With a renewed focus on excellence and innovation and a fresh approach to leadership that fosters a culture of success and growth, now is the perfect time to become part of a dynamic environment where patient care is our top priority.

 

Children’s Nebraska is a 225-bed nonprofit organization caring for children since 1948. Founded by the community and for the community, Children’s is the only full-service, pediatric specialty health center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. As the region’s pediatric healthcare leader, we’re dedicated to exceptional care, advocacy, research, and education. Our state-of-the-art Hubbard Center for Children is home to Nebraska’s only Level IV regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Fetal Care Center, the state’s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, a first-in-the-region Cardiac Care Unit, and more.

The Child Health Research Institute has been established and will provide start-up and gap funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science, or translational research. We seek individuals with strong emotional and social intelligence and a demonstrated ability to connect with others in a meaningful way at all levels of the organization, especially the hospital and university leadership. Successful candidates will hold a faculty appointment at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.
