Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Civil Design Project Engineer in our Lincoln office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can communicate effectively with team members, public officials, and clients to develop land development plans. This individual will have a proven track record of civil engineering design expertise. Additionally, this candidate will:

  • Produce design plans and specifications for residential and commercial land development.
  • Prepare civil engineering design calculations, high-level technical designs, drainage reports, and cost estimates
  • Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and limitation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard 
  • Engineer in Training (“E.I.T.” or “E.I.”) Designation
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible engineering experience 
  • Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office 
  • Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible engineering experience
  • Registered Professional Civil Engineer 
  • Experience with design, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling and presentation of results.
  • Experience with Lincoln Municipal Codes, Lincoln Design Standards & Specifications, and/or Lancaster County Design Standards & Specifications
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HY-8, or related water modeling software
  • Experience with ArcPro and ArcMap
