What You Will Do
The overall purpose of the Clinical Services Specialist is to support excellence in clinical practice standards and service across all Immanuel practice settings. The primary responsibilities of this job are to advocate for and assist in achieving measurable quality outcomes, process improvement, education/training, policy/procedure and regulatory compliance for the Clinical Operations department of Immanuels Home Office. Additionally, this role provides a diverse range of expertise, tools and consulting to clinical teams, projects and initiatives. Supports and lives out Immanuels Mission and CHRIST Promises.

Quality Care & Clinical Excellence | - Delivers a diverse range of consulting and expertise to Immanuel communities/centers, to ensure adherence to Immanuel standards, evidence-based practices, and resident/participant centered care.
- Attends Clinical Operations department meetings and events.
- Supports and participates in annual competency trainings for all service lines.
- Conducts, reviews, and analyzes Clinical quality audit process and outcomes to ensure consistent high-quality care, service, and performance outcomes in Assisted Livings.
- Facilitates, demonstrates and promotes collaboration of the clinical community between all settings of care and Home Office.
- Supports and oversees Immanuels organizational Just Culture of Safety program. Facilitates and organizes Just Culture meetings with community/center stakeholders.
- Facilitates and organizes Clinical Operations program/events, such as Quality Summit for all service lines.
- Advises Clinical Operations other Home Office departments to support innovative programs, organizational initiatives, strategic goals, and policies.
- Facilitates clinical policy and procedure reviews, meetings, revisions, and sharing of information related to changes/updates to all service lines.
- Participates in mock survey process in Assisted Living and Long-Term Care communities.
- Supports and promotes quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) and clinical quality initiatives as defined by the Corporate Quality and Safety Committees.
- Attends continuing education classes and workshops that may enhance or add skills to support department goals and strategic plan.
- Collaborates with outside vendors to build relationships that are mutually beneficial.
- Participates and networks with professional organizations to promote quality of care for seniors.
- Supports Immanuels community as a liaison to external organizations/partners thru participation on committees, membership with professional associations, publications and industry trends.
- Collaborates with Clinical Operations and other Home Office departments to monitor, evaluate and report Immanuel clinical performance against national results and established benchmarks.
- Responsible for specialized expertise and consulting in priority practice areas, either remotely or on-site. Examples may include, but are not limited to, transitions of care, direction to additional resources, Quality Improvement, data and analytics, education, Advanced Directives, behavioral health or dementia care/support/resources.
- Responsible to collaborate with community leaders, and other Home Office departments on development, production and facilitation of training and presentations, using a variety of innovative and dynamic media.
- Supports Clinical Operations and other Home Office departments in planning and updating training content and best practices for new, existing and contracted staff.
- Completes and maintains certification and credentials in specialized area of expertise within scope of practice, as defined.
- Promotes and supports geriatric and community-based clinical care and services to ensure stable and high-quality workforce.
- Collaborates with Clinical Safety Committee and Clinical Operations department to investigate and review resident/participant adverse events and emergencies when needed.

- Collaborates with the Clinical Operations Department, home office, and community/center leadership to support best practice programs, organizational initiatives, strategic goals, and policies, ensuring an appropriate level of consistency across Immanuel.
- Collaborates with Clinical Operations and other stakeholders on acquisition/expansions, including gap analysis, change management, support, and evaluation of outcomes.
- Promotes accountability, facilitates cross-Community best practices, encourages critical thinking and fosters leadership

Compliance | - Participates in developing, revising, maintaining and promoting standard clinical policies, procedures and associated documentation to ensure quality, safety, prevention and healthcare compliance with regulations.
- Collaborates with Clinical Operations and Compliance to advise community/center leadership across Immanuel in the areas of regulatory compliance for Assisted Living, Pathways PACE, Memory Support, and long-term care.

Skills & Requirements
Education-
- Bachelors degree in clinical health or health related field.
Experience-
- Three (3) years of general and related experience in areas of human services, healthcare management, or gerontology. Specialization in a community-based setting, assisted living, long term care, ambulatory care, acute care setting, home heath, hospice, and/or geriatric nursing is desired.
- Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience
Other Requirements
- Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations within required timeframes, according to Immanuel
- Must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and have reliable means of transportation
