We are seeking an organized, analytical-minded and detail oriented Software Developer to join Team QLI.

QLI is a national leader in providing a comprehensive approach to the therapeutic process of a person recovering from the effects of a spinal cord or traumatic brain injury. We are a passionate and mission-focused team committed to delivering life-changing rehabilitation and care.

 As a Software Developer at QLI, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions. Leveraging your extensive experience and technical expertise, you will mentor and guide junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation within the organization. Responsibilities  

• Lead the design and architecture of software applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Drive innovation and explore new technologies to improve existing products and develop new solutions.
• Lead by example in adopting agile methodologies and ensuring adherence to established processes for efficient project delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Manage and optimize database queries, procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, and relationships to support application functionality.

Requirements  

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a software developer for a minimum of five years.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, etc.) and a strong understanding of software development principles.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with mobile and web development concepts and principles.
• Familiarity with programming languages commonly utilized in mobile and web development (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.).
• Experience with mobile application development frameworks and platforms (e.g., Android Studio, Xcode, React Native, Flutter, etc.).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Proficiency working with stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices. 

Vaccination Requirements: Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.

Schedule: Monday through Friday (w/occasional weekends)

Location: On-site (in-person)
