JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for new business prospect sales to Private Banking target clients and leadership of the Private Banking sales teams. In addition, will partner with other Private Client Services departments in identifying and referring target clients to that department to our clients’ financial needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Direct the Private Banking Sales (50%)
- Implement sales strategies and marketing plans to enhance and grow the bank’s Private Banking loan portfolio and achieve sales goals.
- Call on existing customers and potential customers gathered from referrals, other business leads, or prospect calls.
- Oversee banker’s solicitation efforts for potential customers.
- Work closely with other Directors within Private Client Services and Commercial Banking department and on sales activity to drive referral business.
- Develop referrals from various Centers of Influence
- Coach team to develop referrals from Security National Bank Branch Delivery team;
- Sales calls on prospects generated from above referral sources, with Relationship Managers;
- Coach team to ensure all of a prospect’s financial needs are being met by Security National Bank as One Bank;
- Ensure that a Private Banking Pipeline Report is actively maintained to track calling activity and new lending opportunities.
Coaching & Leadership (25%)
- Assist executive management in establishing and achieving revenue and sales goals by coaching Team Leaders and Relationship Managers to success in their retention, servicing, and sales calling efforts;
- Implement and support sales training to include role playing, training from outside sales training subject matter experts, and technical training on lending and compliance matters;
- Implement and administer sales training and coaching programs to create product awareness Conduct timely and effective performance reviews for all of their team members;
- Ensure teams are informed of and aligned with the Bank’s strategic goals.
Credit Review & Compliance Oversight (15%)
- Monitor credit quality of private banking loan portfolio.
- Oversee collections of past due loans.
- Oversee lenders' workout plans for problem loans.
- Monitor trends in loan quality.
- Assist with collection actions where appropriate
- Review credit requests presented by other lenders.
- Seek ways to maximize portfolio yield while minimizing risk to the bank.
- Develop and implement applicable policies and procedures.
- Enforce compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Maintain Existing Private Banking Loan Accounts (10%)
- Monitor financial performance on an ongoing basis to identify trends.
- Process requests for additional financing.
- Process requests for renewal.

EDUCATION*
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE*
- Minimum 10 years previous experience leading a sales-focused organization.
