Data Scientist

Multiple Positions - Participates in the engineering and analytics lifecycle using big data and AI-driven methodologies to develop and implement solutions for health data challenges. Applies statistical theory and methods to collect, interpret, and summarize data and make predictions and recommend actions based on data. Conducts data mining to extract raw data and relationships to make recommendations or provide reporting. Completes data visualization based on organization and participant analytical needs. Forecasts time series predictions using historical data. Supports data cleaning and transformation efforts to remove noise from database and ensure information easily accessible. Builds predictive models and machine-learning algorithms. Identifies gaps in data and uses data science methodologies to overcome them. Documents all processes and research and completes all work in accordance with security and data governance policies. Remote employment available within the U.S.

Minimum Requirements:  Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a closely related field with Two years of experience, including one year of experience with health data, that provided: a background in data mining and statistical analysis and design and evaluating approaches for handling high-volume real-time data streams; a basic understanding of cloud-based machine learning application deployment; experience in Python, JavaScript, PySpark, and operating Linux-based systems; and knowledgeable of core CS concepts (common data structures and algorithms, profiling/optimization).
