Job Summary

The Organizational Development Specialist works closely with teammates and leaders to improve team performance, leadership effectiveness and organizational culture. This includes the design,delivery, facilitation and strategic oversight of programs and workshops to proactively build leadership and teaming skills as well as targeted interventions and coaching.

In this role, youlldevelop programs and resources to support talent mobility and visibility throughout the teammate lifecycle, as well as actively seek internal and external insight into current and future needs. Programs managed may range from onboarding to those designed to develop org-wide capabilities such as Crucial Conversations and leadership development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership Development

  • Focus on increasing the capacity and capability of leaders through development of leadership skills throughout the Associations identified leadership pipeline, from emerging through senior leaders.
  • Ensure relevant, high quality leadership programs for the Associations. Design and/or facilitate workshops and learning and development experiences using a variety of modalities. Research and recommend third party resources when appropriate.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the continued success of cohort programs to evaluate and improve foundational and advanced Leadership development including recommendations for external leadership development opportunities.
  • Provide leadership consulting and coaching to help leaders advance their skills and prepare for future organizational needs and opportunities. Build strong relationships with leaders and teams across the organization.

Team Development

  • Facilitate team workshops, meetings and activities. Interventions include new leader discoveries, team launches, establishing team vision and working agreements, understanding individual work styles and strengths, building trust, engagement action planning, and improving each phase of the Team Performance Model lifecycle.

Teammate Development

  • Provide strategic oversight of learning and development needs for teammates. Actively seek input and gather internal and external insights to establish annual goals and a prioritized project list that aligns with business needs through the use of stakeholder groups, surveys, assessments and networking and provide future-focused solutions.
  • Facilitate and produce classes and workshops as part of our ongoing offerings and as custom needs arise. Facilitate new teammate orientation and open enrollment classes. As an expert, support others in their facilitation of classes and workshops, as needed.
  • Develop programs and resources to support talent mobility and development including career exploration, career paths, career coaching and efforts to improve talent visibility. Provide support for teammates and leaders with individual development plans to meet current or emerging needs.

Travel Time

  • 30% travel during the day
  • 20% travel overnight

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Education, or Behavioral Sciences preferred.

Years of Experience

  • 4+ years Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Professional Development and Training in a corporate environment

  • Professional Certifications related to Organization Development preferred (e.g. Coaching, CPLP, CPTD, SPHR, PHR, vendor certifications such as Franklin Covey, Vital Smarts,etc.)

  • Experience with in-person and virtual classroom technologies.
