Primary Function: As an Evaluation Specialist at Bellevue University, you will play a crucial role in ensuring academic success for our students. Your primary responsibility is to accurately determine the amount of transfer credit applicable to a student's degree program. This involves conducting thorough degree audits for both undergraduate and graduate students, ensuring data integrity, and providing exceptional customer service.

 

Essential Functions

  • Transcript Evaluation: Conduct in-depth evaluations of official and unofficial transcripts, grade reports, and other academic documents from diverse institutions.
  • Policy Adherence: Apply university policies, articulation agreements, and transfer credit guidelines to determine credit equivalencies.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze complex data from various sources to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Provide timely and informative responses to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, and in-person.
  • System Utilization: Utilize university information systems to maintain accurate student records and generate reports.
  • Confidentiality: Protect sensitive student information in compliance with federal and state regulations.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Academic Background: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in academic evaluation.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex academic requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and evaluation.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with student information systems.

 

Working Conditions

  • Office Environment: Work in a standard office setting with typical office equipment.
