Position Description
Education: Min. of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology. A valid NE Teaching
Certificate, or ability to obtain one, with endorsement in Speech Pathology. A
Speech
Pathology serves students with a speech language disability in their attendance
area
school. Students are verified in the area(s) of voice, articulation, language
and fluency.
The severity of the disability and the IEP determine the amount of
service provided to each student. The Speech Pathologist works closely with the
classroom
teacher and the parent(s) to enhance the student’s progress. This individual will exhibit
skills pertinent to foster positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively
with students, staff, parents and the community. This individual will exhibit strong
standards of professional ethics. An applicant may receive credit up to 10 yrs experience.
