An exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate Human Resources setting through an internship awaits you. This internship, in the Kiewit Corporation Corporate Office, is designed to provide the opportunity to gain experience in the following areas:
- Developing knowledge of current employment laws and regulations.
- Providing support to the department as needed.
- Assist with company and department events.
- Developing working knowledge of HR information databases, searchable sources, and websites.
- Assist with company and department events.
- Assistance with special projects.
- Assistance with assembling manuals, materials, etc.
- Introductory training on the HRIS system to assist with Human Resources functions.
- Uploading documents onto the company’s intranet system to gain a better understanding of the company.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization skills and time management.
- The ability to quickly effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
- The ability and willingness to put in the time to get the job done.
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Enrollment in an accredited Human Resources program (at the senior level) or completion of a bachelor's degree.
- Ability to travel and relocate as required.
- Have exhibited academic success (minimum GPA of 3.0).
