Kiewit Corporation, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking to fill a position in its Environmental Control Department, reporting to the Vice President – Environmental. The Senior Environmental Manager will assist in the development and implementation of environmental management procedures in the United States and Canada.
Major duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the environmental compliance audit program for projects/fixed facilities.
- Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the company.
- Keep abreast of Federal environmental legislation and regulations.
- Conduct environmental training.
- Develop and maintain industry awareness through trade associations.
- Facilitate team information with the Districts.
- Generate newsletters.
The skill set the Senior Environmental Manager must possess includes:
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to facilitate team information and be professional.
- Environmental experience in policies and procedures, regulatory affairs, permitting, due diligence and auditing.
- Strong training and management expertise.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Act as a technical resource.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with consultants and governmental agencies.
The successful candidate must also possess the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in an environmental science or engineering field.
- Minimum of 10 years of environmental regulatory experience.
