The primary responsibilities of the Bridge Engineer will be applying structural engineering and detailing techniques. The types of projects include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable), box culvert layout, analysis and design along with interchange design for highway and railway projects. Daily activities include selecting standard bridge engineering/design procedures, developing structural details using specialized software such as Microstation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design, and performing structural load calculations as well as assisting with geometric layout and quantity development. You will also review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.

EIT required.

PE preferred.

4+ years bridge/structural design experience is preferred.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Microstation, AutoCAD.

Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software.

Experience managing junior staff.

Excellent communication skills and working in a team environment.
