Position Description
The primary duties of the Section Manager-Civil/H&H Engineering include responsibility for operations of the section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support. Will function as a project manager and technical lead on H&H projects in the areas of licensing, evaluation and design of hydroelectric facilities and systems in addition to management responsibilities. Projects types will include hydrologic analysis including rainfall runoff modelling for development of design floods, flood frequency analysis, open channel hydraulic modeling and analysis, evaluation and design of hydraulic structures, reservoir/hydroelectric operation modelling and dam safety-related analysis and evaluations. Will be administratively responsible for the section staff and technical service functions and will lead and coordinate services with other sections. Will be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews. Be directly involved with clients in marketing, project production and related issues. Keyword(s): Requisition

Masters degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on water resources, specifically hydrology and hydraulics.
Professional Engineer
10+ years experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
Strong background in hydroelectric applications, including solid experience in H&H technical production and project management skills.
Experience in FERC licensing, Federal and State permitting.
Ability to work as a team leader or member of a multi-discipline project teams.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Good leadership and organizational skills.
