Position Description
The primary duties of the Senior Electrical Engineer is to coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multi-disciplined team for moveable bridge projects, and other transportation related projects. Establishes client relations, and is involved with the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems. Assumes the Electrical Lead on many projects. Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conducts schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with Project Manager, and other disciplines. Is responsible to coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Is responsible to track the financial aspects of the projects, and coordinates and adjusts the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule. Works with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management on an as needed basis. May direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members. Keyword(s): Keyword(s): Requisition

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and 15 + years experience in electrical design for movable bridge projects or other heavy movable infrastructure. Must be a P.E with extensive knowledge of electrical power, control and instrumentation systems. Knowledge of sizing emergency power equipment, Motor Drives, PLC, SCADA, CCTV and Life safety systems required. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Autocad/Microstation, short circuit, lighting analysis and other electrical engineering design tools is required. Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm desired.
