Recovery Specialist – Construction Defect/General Liability Recovery Claims
Under limited direction, this Specialist evaluates legal liability and aggressively pursues, negotiates and resolves third party contribution and cost share opportunities involving moderate to high severity recovery claims. These claims will include assessment and pursuit of general liability and construction defect related claims involving general contractors, subcontractors and others who may have culpability. When on-site investigation is necessary, secures additional information/investigation from referring office. Communicates with customers, witnesses and underwriters to obtain/provide the necessary information. Manages litigation through conclusion to include mediation and trial.
The ideal candidate will have third party contribution and cost share recovery experience with specialized knowledge and expertise in general liability and construction defect claims involving moderate to high levels of severity.
Three to Five or more years of commercial claim handling or underwriting experience to include general liability or construction defect. OR practicing attorney with experience handling general liability, construction defect or other coverage related matters.
Litigation management experience is required. Multiple territory experience is beneficial. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience is required.
