The Omaha office of Sogeti USA is currently seeking strong project managers to join our consulting team. Ideal candidates MUST HAVE the following skills:
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years experience and PMP certification required.
- Must possess experience with the following project management activities:
- Leading process to complete project charter and obtain necessary approvals.
- Creating and publishing project documents to include project scope, work breakdown structure, risk assessment and response, critical path, time estimates, schedules, and budget projections.
- Determining resources required to accomplish project objectives.
- Experience in Agile project management in a plus
- Conducting or participating in stakeholder meetings.
- Creating and executing plans for communication, change control, quality control, and specific coordination of activities with the BPS Modernization Project plans.
- Oversee execution of project tasks, monitoring performance and solving project slippage and/or constraints in timely manner.
- Managing stakeholder expectations, project risks and solving problems.
- Controlling project scope and changes, schedule, budget, and status reporting.
- Facilitate closeout activities like lessons learned and customer feedback
- Must have knowledge of Independent Validation and Verification approaches.
- Must have experience with identifying needed skills, accessing current staff skills and developing training curriculums to attain skills
- Must have experience developing comprehensive knowledge transfer plans
- Must have experience identifying and developing operational procedures necessary to support complex mission critical application
- Experience in both IBM and Microsoft technologies is a plus
Skills and Abilities
- Strong relationship management skill
- Strong understanding of all aspects of an IT organization – including Help Desk, Operations, Network and Server Administration, and Applications Development
- Strong understanding of complex application development projects and system development life cycles
- Strong project planning, leadership and management skills (including level of effort estimation, planning and prioritization of project tasks)
- Strong analytical skills using techniques like JAD sessions, user interviews, brown paper analysis, and GAP analysis to identify technical requirements
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong meeting management skills
- Strong written skills to create project documents that are Department-friendly
- Strong results orientation, high energy focus with good business judgment
- Ability to champion an idea and build consensus and support
- Ability to bring a group to compromise as needed and resolve conflict
- Ability to think strategically or in terms of "enterprise wide" solutions and have a broad range of technical knowledge
- Ability to act as a mentor to Department staff
- Project Management Institute Certification, PMP
- Certified Scrum Master is desired
