POSITION SUMMARY: 
In order to maximize the quality and impact that Arizona’s Judicial Branch has on the communities it serves, the Arizona Supreme Court has demonstrated a commitment to providing its employees the highest quality education and training programs possible.  The Education Services Division serves as the primary coordinating unit to service this need, including for judicial officers, court staff, and probation officers throughout the state.  By utilizing cutting-edge adult education theory and practice, and through a variety of educational modalities (e.g. in-person sessions, DVD’s, computer-based trainings, live broadcasts, etc), the Division directly provides and indirectly supports the education and training requirements for a broad audience with diverse needs. 

This grant-funded position will be responsible for the development and delivery of educational programming and resources through March 31, 2011.  The delivery of these programs and resources are aimed at enhancing the understanding of the unique issues involved in domestic violence cases.  This position will be responsible for meeting the specifications of a STOP Violence Against Women Grant, including the development and delivery of the 2nd Annual Domestic Violence Summit, the development of three domestic violence-focused computer-based learning tools, and additional domestic violence-related programming and resource support.  Through partnership with internal and external subject matter experts and programming partners, this position will assist in the development of training and resources which will serve this critical need in Arizona’s communities. 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Professionalism, high-quality communication abilities, and a commitment to the transformative power of education and training.  A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Criminal Justice or related field.  Advanced knowledge with a minimum of three years experience in adult education theory and practice, experience within the judicial branch (Arizona preferred) and/or experience in the field of Domestic Violence training/awareness, and excellent oral and written communication skills.   

Travel level: up to 25%.
