ASSISTANT TEACHER OPPORTUNITY (e-KIDS)
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting in the overall care and education of a group of children from birth through age 12. The assistant teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing and stable environment, as well as providing safe surroundings for young children.
The Assistant Teacher facilitates interactions among children to provide opportunities for development of self-esteem, social competence, and intellectual growth. This includes implementing daily lesson plans that have been developed in conjunction with the Lead Teacher.

- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- One (1) year experience in a professional childcare setting
- Skills/Proficiencies/Competencies
- Flexibility in scheduling

- Professional appearance and demeanor
REQUIREMENTS:
- Dependable transportation
- Working telephone
- Negative criminal background check consistent with state childcare licensure requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures age appropriate, quality, and safe provision of care is delivered to the children within the center.
2. Follows health and safety policies.
3. Interacts appropriately with the children.
4. Implements a daily childcare curriculum.
5. Maintains classroom and environmental cleanliness.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of age appropriate cognitive, emotional, and physical growth and development of the children in the ages served.
7. Serves as a liaison/problem solver between children and parents.
8. Follows childcare licensing requirements and regulations mandated by various regulatory and accrediting bodies.
9. Utilizes equipment accurately.
10. Maintains confidentiality.
11. Supports the organization’s mission and values while demonstrating teamwork within the department.
12. Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
