Position Description

Franchisee Assistant / Dealer Trainee - Snap-on Mobile Store – Omaha Metro
Enjoy an environment where no two days are alike. Learn the Snap-on life as a Franchisee Assistant. You’ll be helping a Snap-on franchise owner with day-to-day operations and learn the business firsthand. You’ll start with the basics including computer training on entering sales, collections, weekly closeouts, etc., as well as tool repair, maintaining inventory and displaying tools on the mobile store.

As you move on to learn the business itself, you’ll work directly with customers, assisting in sales and collections and helping them figure out their exact tool and tool storage needs. When you get more confident, you may actually run the business by yourself under the owner’s supervision.
The Franchisee Assistant is full-time employment position. This opportunity is not a Snap-on Inc. employment opportunity, but rather an opportunity to work for an independent franchise owner within the Snap-on Inc. franchise system.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage and operate a Snap-on mobile store in compliance with the Snap-on franchise owner
  • Strengthen and grow outside sales relationships with B2B clientele
  • Fully develop the assigned route to reach its maximum sales and customer service potential

  • Maintain accountability for corporate assets in the form of cash, inventory, van and accounts receivable
  • Assist with research and testing of programs, promotions, products and sales / service techniques, while providing feedback on their effectiveness
  • Assist with franchisee recruitment and training by allowing ride-alongs, and communicating how the program works
Requirements
  • Retail management experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license, with the ability to drive 16’x20’ vehicle 40-50% of the time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds occasionally
  • Experience in asset management, budgeting and business operations
  • Computer proficiency
  • Strong communication skills

Top candidates will display the following attributes:
  • Highly motivated
  • Results driven
  • Influential
  • Customer focused
  • Strong ethical core values
