Position Description

 

Performs a variety of duties to develop, coordinate and deliver in training and development programs for the organization and will assist in the development and evaluation of various tools to assure fidelity or programs taught.

 

  1. Effectively deliver training to all other employees as assigned.
  2. Develops training materials, presentation guides, PowerPoint, job aides, and participant handouts.
  3. Demonstrates a solid understanding of information technology as it relates to training delivery (e.g., computers, content design applications).
  4. Skilled in adapting or modifying training in response to changing circumstances or to a variety of audiences.
  5. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Organizes and sets up training spaces for positive learning environments.
  7. Maintains training supplies so classes have all necessary materials and resources.
  8. Completes all training documentation (e.g., trainee evaluation, workshop closeouts) following department protocol in a timely manner.
  9. Enters employee information into LMS (Kaleidacare University) ensuring accurate training records.
  10. Attend workshops, seminars or conferences that will enhance training.
  11. Complies with all standards to maintain/renew training certifications (e.g., Red Cross, CPI/IANCICI).
  12. Maintains flexibility with schedule to ensure classes are offered to meet the needs of the trainees (i.e., available for evenings, weekends).
  13. Willingness to travel to other sites to deliver services as assigned.
  14. Meet weekly with supervisor to review individual performance, tasks, and development.
  15. Engage in appropriate, professional interactions with internal and external staff.
  16. Demonstrate the ability to give, take, and implement feedback.
  17. Willingness to demonstrate professional behaviors, attitude and attire.
  18. Participates in meetings and problem solving discussions as needed to develop strategies for improving or maintain quality of training services.
  19. Work effectively as a team member and collaborate within the training department, other departments, and sub-contractors.
  20. Exhibit proactive problem-solving skills.
  21. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  22. Willingness to accept additional duties when assigned.
  23. Results driven with the ability to handle multiple deadlines under pressure.
  24. Follow the proper chain of command as illustrated on the Visinet, Inc. flow chart when reporting compliments, complaints, concerns or problems.
  25. Supports and promotes programs within Visinet, Inc. and mediates conflicts with community contacts to preserve the reputation and perception of consumers and stakeholders.
  26. Comply with instructions and policies as determined by the COO/CEO/DFO.

1.       Education:

a.       Required: Bachelors Degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field.

b.       Desired:

2.       Experience:

a.       Required: Minimum of 2 years experience working with youth and families.

b.       Desired: At least 1 year experience in adult learning/training.

3.       Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Clear Criminal History Background and Adult/Child Abuse checks, as well as all program specific certifications, Must be NCI certified (CPI/IANCICI certified instructor preferred).  Must be Red Cross First Aid and CPR certified (certified instructor preferred).  PRIDE trained preferred.  Other trainer certifications as deemed necessary to meet contracted standards.

4.       Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: Working knowledge of computer with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.  Must be able to use computer with various programs to de3velo schedules, PowerPoint presentation and various training materials.  Must be able to model safety demonstrations (e.g., CPR on mannequins; installing car seats).

5.       Specialized Knowledge and Skills:  Use of various computer software in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, logs, calendars, or related training materials.  Ability to model physical safety techniques used in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.  Ability to professionally conduct training sessions.
