Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Analyst Specialist must be a highly skilled analyst with proven experience in the healthcare profession. They must have demonstrated highly developed business analyst skills
Additional Responsibilities:Strong Analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret Healthcare customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Functions as the business process advisor to development, service center, provider, implementation, customer support and IS operations where needed.
Works with the developers to provide enhancements/updates to the system which will increse efficiency.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the artifacts as needed.
Validate the functionality of the system updates to the aplicable user interface
Conducts necessary research and or due diligence when needed
Handles special projects within scope as needed
Functions as subject matter expert for system design
Troubleshoots system bugs
Asisst with defining requirements, specifications, enhancements
Performs user testing of system modules
Conducts solutions brainstorming efforts with our functional departments when needed
Identified trends and recommends improvements accordingly
Practices Business Owner concept
Required Skills:
3+ years previous experience in hospital or physicians office, Patient Access, HIM or Healthcare payer
Strong customer focus and is results driven
Shows strong initiative, innovation and motivation
Comprehensive understanding of healthcare claims payment, denail and underpayments processes for inpatient and outpatient treatment settings
Comprehensive understanding of healthcare payment methodologies
Strong analytical and math logic skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Expert knowledge and ability in modern information technologies including: relational databases, internet technology, workflow and process redesign
Desired Skills:
Bachelors or Associates degree
Minimum Educational Requirements:
High school diploma
