Position Description
Description
The Nurse Auditor performs Concurrent Audits in compliance with and as defined by Tenet Policy, audits accounts at the specific request of patients or hospital billing or clinical staff, and performs focused audits of problem areas as identified. The Nurse Auditor per-audits all accounts having audits ordered/completed by insurance companies or external audit agencies. The Nurse Auditor presents results at the monthly Chart Audit meetings, and leads discussion of remedial actions needed to improve charging/billing accuracy. The Nurse Auditor functions as a resource for Charging Departments and the Billing Department in continuous process improvement in complete and accuracy charging and billing.
Qualifications
Must be an RN licensed to practice in the state of Nebraska and have at least two years experience as a registered nurse in an acute hospital
