Personal Trainer
Design and Implement safe and effective exercise programs
Fitness Assessments and Equipment Orientations
Provide Fitness Guidance to Members
Responsible for Safety and Oversight of Fitness Floor
Other Duties as Assigned
Experience
1 year of personal training experience preferred
Education/Licensure
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field of study preferred
One of the following certifications preferred:
ACE-American Council on Exercise
Group Fitness Instructor
Certified Personal Trainer
ACSM-American College of Sports Medicine
Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Clinical Exercise Specialist
Certified Personal Trainer
Health and Fitness Specialist/Instructor
NSCA-National Strength and Conditional Association
Certified Personal Trainer
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
NASM-National Association of Sports Medicine
Performance Enhancement Specialist
Corrective Exercise Specialist
BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR, PRO, must say Professional Level-with AED, and American Heart Association: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
First Aid Certification Preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must demonstrate knowledge of fitness testing procedures
