Operations Director Financial Planning & Analysis
Implementation of an approach, and development of a capability, to provide consultative support in the areas of financial planning and analysis for the separate operational elements constituting the system as a whole, service lines and joint venture plans.
Provides advice, counsel, support, education and accountability of financial operations to system leadership and regional personnel for all areas including, Metropolitan Hospital Entities involving Service Line emphasis, Affiliated Services, and Rural Hospitals. Provides support and assistance to System Accounting staff on all aspects of the Joint Operating Agreement (JOA).
Responsible for an approach to prepare a routine Analytical Review of operational activity which is based on a sound financial analysis, but also incorporates operational insight in close cooperation with the affected personnel.
Function as the financial coordinating resource for all aspects of the relationship with Catholic Health Corporation/Catholic Healthcare Initiative.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience within accounting and finance areas with at least three (3) years in a key management/leadership position and at least four (4) years of significant experience in a healthcare environment.
Education/Licensure
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required. Preferred Masters, FHFMA and/or CPA license.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must posses a strong knowledge of Financial Management and Accounting Theory and Practice; with a thorough knowledge of applicable laws, guidelines and professional standards. Must posses a keen understanding of hospital and other general health care operations, excellent management skills, good computer understanding and skills, excellent communication skills, strong change management skills. Must demonstrate personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation and energy, team orientation; professionalism; trust; personal honesty and integrity; and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value and treating them with dignity and respect.
