Position Description

Bellevue University offers quality liberal arts and career-oriented programs at undergraduate and graduate levels to a diverse student body through in-class and online venues.  The College of Arts and Sciences is currently looking for an energetic and organized individual for the position of Director of Human Services and Cohort Programs.

The Director is responsible to serve as an effective educator, program manager, and role model for students and faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences for the graduate programs, including the Human Services programs and the undergraduate cohort programs.  This senior position is responsible for developing, promoting and managing the programs. The incumbent will be accountable for curricular integrity and continued growth in enrollments.
 
To qualify for this exciting career opportunity a Master’s degree in a related field is required; Ph.D. preferred.  Four (4) years experience in an academic or business management position with demonstrated management competencies including the knowledge of curriculum development, project management, online teaching, and classroom facilitation techniques is preferred. The ideal candidate will exhibit a commitment to excellence in teaching and scholastic activities and demonstrate a proven knowledge and evidence of leadership in academic planning; program development, implementation and evaluation; and personnel management responsibilities.  Demonstrated work experience with the adult learner and a history of commitment to active learning is a plus. Excellent communication skills are required to interact and work effectively with faculty, administration, staff and students in a collegial and multicultural environment.
 
Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00a.m.-5:00p.m.).
